Das Moth/Tim Sullivan

Tim Sullivan used to play in a punk band. There are many wise people in the world that would argue this is a necessary rite of passage for any musician. For Tim though, it just felt right. He's made a habit out of doing what feels right ever since. Whether that was leaving Australia for London and Norway when he was barely old enough to drink or becoming a part time babysitter (a "Manny") part time DJ shortly after moving to Tokyo where he's decided he'll remain for now. Tim's done his time on the road and in the sky, he toured the world & Australia a thousand times in his band Damn Arms, with buddies Cut Copy, Midnight Juggernauts, The Kills and Klaxons, he's been invited to DJ with Juan Maclean, Idjut Boys, Breakbot, !!!, Horse Meat Disco, Shit Robot & even Major Lazer from Brazil, to London and to Singapore. Now Tim's a little older and what feels right to him is, as it always seems to have been, to stay ahead of the curve. To that end, Das Moth was born. Esoteric, Atmospheric, Erotic and Aromatic, Das Moth is the name given to Tim's newest project. Creating full bodied, creamy post-disco that's impressed luminaries like Jacques Renault [DFA], Classixx [Kitsune], Flight Facilities [Bang Gang 12"] and old friends Cut Copy [Modular]. The latter were so into it, they had to put it out on their boutique dance label Cutters Records. Tim's debut 12" was released in early November and has now sold out.
